Terms of Service

The rules that apply when you use jlist.co.uk — your rights, our rights, and the limits of both.

Last updated: 25 July 2026

These terms govern your use of jlist.co.uk. By reading, browsing or otherwise using the site you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

Use of the site

You may read, link to and share our articles for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not scrape, mirror, systematically download or republish our content at scale, use automated tools that place an unreasonable load on our servers, attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the site or its infrastructure, or use the site for anything unlawful. We may suspend access where we reasonably believe these terms have been breached.

Intellectual property

All articles, photographs, graphics, layout and code on this site are owned by JList or licensed to us, and are protected by copyright. You may quote a short extract for the purpose of review, criticism or news reporting provided you attribute it to JList and link to the original article. Reproducing whole articles, or substantial parts of them, requires our written permission. The JList name and logo are our marks and may not be used without consent.

User contributions

If you submit a comment, a pitch, a tip or any other material, you confirm that it is yours to send, that it does not infringe anyone's rights, and that it is not defamatory, obscene, harassing or unlawful. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, edit and publish it in connection with the site. We may moderate, edit or remove contributions at our discretion and without notice.

Accuracy of content

We work hard to publish accurate information, but the site is provided for general information and is not a substitute for professional advice. Nothing on JList constitutes legal, financial, medical, investment or other professional advice, and you should not act on it without consulting a suitably qualified professional. See our Disclaimer for detail.

Third-party links

Articles link to external websites we do not control. We include those links because they are useful or because they are the source of a claim, not as an endorsement. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, availability or privacy practices of any third-party site.

Advertising and sponsored content

The site carries advertising and, from time to time, clearly labelled sponsored content. Transactions you enter into with an advertiser are between you and that advertiser; we are not a party to them and accept no liability for them.

Availability

We do not guarantee that the site will be available uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the site, or any article, at any time without notice.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, JList is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of data or business interruption arising from your use of, or inability to use, this site or anything you rely on from it. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses and reasonable legal costs arising from your breach of these terms or your misuse of the site.

Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms and will update the date above when we do. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
